You can now buy a Dell PC for Re 1 : News

Dell on Tuesday kick started its 'Back to School' campaign with an aim to make it simple for consumers to own a personal computer. Under the campaign, the company is offering a range of devices at as little as Re 1. The rest of the amount can be paid in interest-free EMIs.

The offer is applicable on Dell Inspiron Desktops, All-in-One or Inspiron 3000 series notebooks (only on Intel 4th Gen, Core i3 notebook models) on or between March 22 to May 31 across the country from authorised Dell outlets or from compuindia.com.

"I think this initiative will drive away the fear of adoption of computers. Being able to buy a Dell computer at just Re 1, with the rest in interest free EMIs, is a bold initiative we have taken, something that is more prevalent in consumer durable product promotions," Ritu Gupta, director- marketing, Consumer and Small Business, Dell India said.

At the same time, an additional amount of Rs 199 along with the Inspiron desktop or All-in-One will, Inspiron 3000 series notebook (only on Intel 4th Gen, Core i3 notebook models) will give buyers 2 year additional Dell next business day onsite warranty, the company announced.

"We want to encourage users to view the PC as an essential device that is easily accessible to them and with the financing scheme; we are enabling them to proactively and voluntarily adopt it. This is Dell's reiteration that the PC is crucial in building the foundation for a student's learning process as students pursue and explore new avenues of study, evolving career options, and are pushing the boundaries of traditional professions," Gupta added.
